Well, this thunderstorm turned out to be a bit more than expected. The skies turned so dark, and it got really windy. You heard a few cracks of thunder, and then all of a sudden....hail, and it just came pouring down! Thunder and lightening kept cracking overhead. You could hear it on the roof. The hail was pretty big, almost the size of a golf-ball. It created a little river that was washing quickly through the parking lot. It hailed hard enough it nailed a bird that fell to the pavement in front of the store and got washed away by the little river, it died instantly. Twigs, leaves and branches were all over the ground. In Strathmore, about 45 minutes east of Calgary there was tornado warnings, heading east from Strathmore towards Calgary. Now, I don't think the tornado actually happened, at least not in Calgary that I know of.
Oh yeah, and my car has tiny little dimple marks ALL OVER the roof and hood. Because of the hail.
