A fiery day in Calgary

I looked outside today and though "wow, it looks really smoggy outside. It must be super hot and humid." Then I found out that it's not, the "smog" look in the city is the result of the fires in B.C and that the smoke affecting Calgary even stretches over the boarder in Saskatchewan. Air quality has been labelled between fair and poor. No outdoor strenuous activity is suggested from now until Sunday, and if you have heart or breathing problems you are to stay indoors.

It even smells like smoke and fire outside!

For me, this is absolutely incredible. I knew about the fires going on in B.C, everybody does. But never did I think that you would be able to see/feel the effects here in Calgary. Man, is nature a powerful thing.
