weekend recap - weekend 3 of 3 Stephan is home :)

This weekend was the last weekend I had Stephan for. On Friday he leaves to go back to Ontario for 1 1/2 weeks (he hasn't been back since we moved here). He's really excited to see his best friend again. And for Oktoberfest!

Friday wasn't very exciting. We prepared our immigration documents, making sure everything was finalized and watched TV. Woohoo, we lead exciting lives!!!

Saturday morning we had our appointment with our lawyer, to finalize and sign the documents from last week. It took awhile, but we got it done. Than we spent the rest of the afternoon running errands, which included getting me a new winter coat (my current one is about 6/7 years old!). This is the one I got, from Rickis:
I chose this coat because of the hood, which I regretted not having on my last coat. Especially with the wind we can get here in Calgary, sometimes a scarf just does not cut it! What's even better, is that the hood is removable so I can get both looks with this coat! 2 for 1, what's better than that?!

We did some laundry on Saturday (again, very exciting) and had a nice warm dinner of chili, followed by some movies on the couch (which I fell asleep for!).

Sunday was our church thanksgiving. Here in Canada we have our Thanksgiving in October, which falls on this coming weekend (long weekend for us, woohoo!). Our church always celebrates it the weekend before, which I think is smart as people are often travelling and away for thanksgiving. So we had our normal service, which Stephan came to church for, followed by a turkey dinner with all the fixings and lots of german goodies for dessert (Stephan was quite excited about the home-made plum cake, which he now is insisting I learn how to make. Great).

I had a little bit of a nap after church, then spent the afternoon doing some things for work, and working on my course. We watched Pan Am again, and I must say that I quite enjoy it, despite the ratings. I love the dresses they wear, and I want them all! I'm on this huge retro kick right now.

How was your weekend?
